Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper
This book tells us a lot about people with disorders and problems. This book is about a girl named 
Melody who has a disorder and lives in a wheelchair. She has a little sister named Penny. She enters a competition with some schoolmates and the kids do not think she is smart enough to do it because she is disabled.
This girl teaches us that people like her are not that different than everyone else.

Thanks, Laura. I thought you'd enjoy this one. It's sort of interesting to think about how you would be able to communicate with people if you couldn't talk or write to them, isn't it?
