Guest Book Review: Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper

Today I am honored to have a guest reviewer on this blog: my own daughter and avid reader, Laura. She received some books from her aunt in return for reviews. Here are her ideas on one of them:

Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper

Out of My MindThis book tells us a lot about people with disorders and problems. This book is about a girl named Melody who has a disorder and lives in a wheelchair. She has a little sister named Penny.

She enters a competition with some schoolmates and the kids do not think she is smart enough to do it because she is disabled.

This girl teaches us that people like her are not that different than everyone else.

Thanks, Laura! I know you had fun reading this one. (Personally, I like the cover of the book. That's what I feel like a lot of the time, like a fish out of water!)

Have any of you read Out of My Mind? If so, what did you think? Please leave a comment for Laura!

Thanks, Laura. I thought you'd enjoy this one. It's sort of interesting to think about how you would be able to communicate with people if you couldn't talk or write to them, isn't it?
