I came across this post where Mental Multivitamin shares advice on teaching our children Shakepeare. I really appreciate her insights and apparent love for good literature. One of her earlier posts that she links to brought back memories of my family and the times we quoted Shakespeare. One of the ones I remember most was when one of us would want another to leave the room and we would say, "Out, damned spot!" (Macbeth, Act V, Scene I). I remember thinking how shocked I was that my parents would let us say such a bad word and LAUGH about it!
I think I'll be checking out Henry V from the library today. It's been too long since we have watched Shakespeare as a family.
(Thank you Semicolon, for the link to MM's blog.)
